Project Details and Cost

Jainpuri AC community Hall and 8 AC room construction project:

Till the year 2005,Mandvi Kutch did not have any decent air-conditioned community hall. Marriage or social functions were held in a temporary shamiana.

Jainpuri was the Jain community place where most of the Jain community social and family functions took place for last 80 years.

Jrd Shah along with CA Jitesh Shah and Vardhamanbhai Shah decided to take up the challenge of building an air-conditioned community hall at Jainpuri, Mandvi Kutch.

The 3000 Sq feet AC hall was planned to accommodate Marriage functions or social functions. It was first of its kind in Mandvi Kutch and everyone was very excited about it.

Shri Shantibhai Shah President and Jayantibhai Shah, Secretary of Jain Benaat Samaj gave full authority to JRD Shah and his team to do everything necessary to build the AC Hall.

Shri Vardhamanbhai Shah became the main donor of the Hall. JRD Shah, Jitesh Shah, Mahendrabhai Sanghvi, Kiritbhai Shah, Pradeep Shah and others became codonors of the Hall.

Rajubhai I Shah and Mahabalbhai Shah took the responsibility of supervising the construction work and Harshadbhai Sanghvi was appointed as engineers and architects of the building.

Shilpa Shah,wife of JRD Shah gave the Hall design ideas and the work started in 2006.

Bhumi pujan and Shilaropan vidhi was performed by CA JRD Shah and CA Jitesh Shah of Vadodoara.

The construction of 3000 sq.feet Airconditioned Hall was completed in 2008.Since then all major social and religious functions of Jain community in Mandvi are performed in this Hall.

In 2009-10,eight Airconditioned rooms were built on the first floor of the Hall with all modern facility for a comfortable stay.

Mr.JRD Shah was one of the main donor of the airconditioned hall as well as airconditioned rooms.He was also major force in bringing in other donors for the Hall and Rooms.

Shri Babubhai Patwa family became the main donor of the new complex comprising of the AC Hall and 8 AC rooms.

The inauguration of AC Hall was done by JRD Shah and his wife Shilpa Shah. A big function of entire Jain community of Mandvi was held with Swamivatsalya on the eve of inauguration of AC Hall.

Since the time AC Hall is made, all marriage functions, engagement functions, birthday parties, religious pujans, social functions and even Prarthana of Jain community is held in this Hall throughout the year. It is the venue of many memorable functions in last 10 years.It still looks as new as it was looking before 10 years.
